I have been unable to find which of the many MHG's issued this token. The logo looks like this company, but not only are te two bars missing, but also I can't figure out why hydraulic presses need tokens. Eurocoin is a British company making amusement machines and games tokens on order.

MHG: in gaming in the USA these are trading cards from MARVEL with pictures of X-man at it. The early computergames needed tokens to play them.

Those DONKEY KONG and Space Invaders-days... In Italy these tokens are still being used in some gamestores situated at beach resorts.

I get plenty hits on MHG and Marvel, but nothing on this token en no logo, but you may be on to something (but would a US company really buy tokens from a British dealer when they can probably get them at half price in South Korea? The cards are just that: cards. Not tokens.

These days S Korea seems to be the place to get cheap tokens.  I believe at least one of the RCC medals came from there.

I expect the MHG on this page....

http://www.leedsonline.co.uk/street/Westland_Road/

is the "MHG" on the token. They supply amusement machines and have other UK locations.

Thanks.

That looks like an excellent possibility. Too bad they don't have web site, so I can compare their logo. Oh well, maybe I'll be around Leeds some day. Thanks for the help, africancoins.

Here is a dealer in London who apparently has that token, and some other Eurocoin products http://www.intercol.co.uk/acatalog/Jetons.html ... Maybe he knows more about what MHG means in this case?
