These are World War I Memorial Plaques. They were given to all the soldiers who lost their lives in WWI.

Long before I was born an uncle of mine died in Palestine. Only 19 years.

Joseph William Gunn, born July 18th 1898 - KIA November 6th 1917

He is buried in Gaza War Cemetery.

He is shown on the far right of the photograph, it is unknown if any of the other soldiers survived.
