Booking of Rajendra Prasad coins opens at Kolkata from tomorrow. The price of proof set is Rs2740 and Unc set Rs2310 (very very high)

so is it still going to be unc/proof coin only? or does the govt plan on issuing in circulation for its face value?

Bimat

I find no reason to keep this issue as NCLT,I think government will issue it in circulation standard also, but late as usual.

But what is the reason for the prices zooming northwards? Did the costs shoot up dramatically, or is this purely for profits?

Yesterday, I found 5 Rupee Coins in Brass being sold by dealers at Delhi Coins Exhibition for Rs. 50 to 100 per coin. So, I think, finally, the Circulating Coins have come in the market, at least with the dealers.

Abhay Ji

You would have noticed that one particular dealer, whose coins were in better condition was asking Rs 200-300 for one Rajendra Prasad coin. By the way, I went to the exhibition yesterday, but we did not met. Hope we meet next time.

Bye
