New commemorative coin 2025: India Meteorological Department

The Government of India will issue a ₹150 commemorative coin to celebrate the 150 Years of India Meteorological Department. The Ministry of Finance issued a gazette notification on December 31, 2024, confirming this coin.

Curious to know if the Weathermen get the weather right in India. Monsoons help, I suppose. In the European countries I know they don't, to the point that you need to bring an umbrella if they don't predict rain. ::)

nowadays, it seems to have got pretty accurate, the reason being several satellites launched by our space agency in the preceding years

Yesterday, the Prime Minister released the ₹150 IMD commemorative coin.
