The colour is off, but that could be due to lighting. If this is really the colour of your piece, it is silvered brass. Underweight and not enough wear to explain that. The genuine coin was struck in Bombay, yours wasn't. The mintmark can be a number of things, from a clumsy crown to a Rorschach test, but it is not the Bombay mintmark. Compare the illustration of Numista 8472. The genuine coins were distributed by banks in Hong Kong, Singapore, Penang and Shanghai, so it is incorrect to call it a Hong Kong dollar. It was quite unpopular, but accepted by jewellers, who melted them down for their 0.900 silver content. It was and is widely imitated in Hong Kong and Thailand for tourist souvenir purposes. Your piece may be one of those. A good piece for educating people on fakes, or you can have it silvered again and used in jewellery for a dear female friend or family member.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
