Here is a bold overdate from Belgium: 1905/4 (I believe the doubling on 190 is strike doubling)

The 4 is easy to reconstruct. TFS. I wonder why such tiny traces on the die didn't fill in quickly due to the dirty die syndrome. Or maybe they did and we find only those where the traces are clear enough to see with the naked eye?

Good question.  :)  Overdate details are often subtle, because most of the prior date was polished away. I can only conclude that these dies were kept fairly clean for these details to be struck up.  ???
