Dear all,
Thanks for welcoming me to the Forum. Here is my first of four Delhi Sultanate coins I wonder if you could help me to identify. I have collected other types of coins for many years but I am very much a beginner with this area of coins, and I have no Arabic.
I've tentatively identified this one as Firuz Shah Tughlaq. Is this correct? If not, I would be very grateful if you would point out my error.
The coin is 4mm thick and I'm unsure of the metal- billon or silvered bronze?

Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

Maythem, thank you very much indeed for this excellent information.

Thanks Peter. Some useful tips there. I am starting from the very beginning but trying hard!

@Corbie Maythem is quite right by calling the mint place Dehli. That's how it is spelled systematically on coins of this era. I have to resist the urge to type Delhi, but rationally, I think the correct spelling for this period is Dehli.
