Shah Rukh (شاهرخ‎) was the ruler of the Timurid Empire between 1405 and 1447. He was the son of the Central Asian conqueror Timur (Tamerlane), who founded the Timurid dynasty in 1370.

I find the coins of the Timurid dynasty a bit of a challenge, with the exception of those of Amir Timur and his son, Shah Rukh. The dynasty is complicated, due to family infighting for the throne, the state was decaying relatively quickly, probably one reason why the coins of later rulers are sloppily struck.

Surprisingly - at least for me - MWI is still the best catalogue of these coins I could find.

Thank you Peter for the information; Shah Rukh coins are not easy to find around here. There are Persian coins with the name Shahrukh Shah Afshar (AH 1161-1210/1748-1796 AD)(Afsharid dynasty).
