200 Lire 1978 error or post mint damage ?

Hello,

Here is a 200 Lire 1978 with a strange circular damage on lettering.
Not a die crack IMO because the cut is too much sharp, both on letters and field.
Most likely a  post mint damage but it also have the aspect of a mint error on some parts of the coin.

Seen this kind of damage before, on a token. It was explained to me as caused by a badly adjusted vending machine.

These kind of marks are also regularly being left by the machines that put the coins in rolls, on the coins that are at the ends of the roll.
