The government of Finland has launched a tender for the production of standard euro circulation coins, commemorative coins and collectors coins, aswell as the sale of numismatic products to collectors. Interested mints have until 9 August to submit a bid. The contract will run until 31 December 2027. The government has an option to extend it twice with 2 additional years. The government estimates that (almost) the only production for circulation necessary within the contracting period will be 2 euro commemorative coins.

The tender for the minting of the Finnish circulation coins, commemorative coins and collectors coins was won by Royal Dutch Mint.
Royal Dutch Mint will also be responsible for the sale of numismatic products to collectors.

Royal Dutch Mint will in Finland be trading as the Helsinki Mint. Its website will open in 45 days from now: https://www.helsinkimint.com/

Does anyone happen to know if there were any other bidders on the tender, and if so, which mints?

Thanks! Now knowing that there was one other bidder, I have asked the Ministry of Finance of Finland which company that was.

Royal Dutch Mint has a few days ago officially opened the website https://www.helsinkimint.com/ it also contains the issuance program for 2025.

The Finance Ministry of Finland just informed me that the unsuccessful bidder was a consortium consisting of Oy Nordic Moneta and Mint of Lithuania.
