Figleaf

Nice coin! Much detail and legends fully legible. My first impression was that the figure is an angel, which fits in with a bishop, but later coins of Valence show an eagle, while on the earliest type, there is a cross behind (?) the head, so I settled for an angel morphing into an eagle. What's in a wing?

This is Duplessy féodales 2255. The shape of the A on your coin is slightly different and the S of APOLLINARS is upright, but many different dies are known.

It's a coin of Valence alone. Coins of Valence and Die all name the bishop.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I like a lot these féodales coins. This yours looks so fine (probably better than mine  ;D )
