Louis XVI had time for only two sets of copper coins before they took his head off. This type of sol was issued when he was still king by the grace of god (D.Gratia). My coin was struck in Lille, because there is a W below the coat of arms. Below the king's head is a chevron, the sign of engraver David François Lepage. Dy 1714, KM 578.16. Numista 5466.
