Real or Fake? It weighs 1.33 grams but what concerns me is the coloration of the coin compared to another one of the same coins I have which is silvery. (I don't know the composition of the coin) I'm new to coin collecting so it would be helpful If anyone had a website I could use.

I am currently far away from my library. In general, these coins still had a (very low) silver content. Moreover, the silver was often driven to the surface. This means that some will have a silvery glow, while others will just look like copper, depending on wear and environmental influences.

I am not aware of any online catalogue of French coins. You could try Numista or our partner site https://www.numismatique.com/forum/17-avant-1795/ (francophone).

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
