Not Mardi Gras tokens for sure but all are odd enough to be interesting. I suppose "nonsense coins" is a fitting description for them.

I have an oversized nickel somewhere in my stuff but it's a different date...1937 I think...and it's relatively heavy. Some kind of pot metal and not marked "copy." How dare they they make such a deceptive reproduction and not mark it. I suppose the size would give it away. After all it's about 50 times the size of a real one.  ;D

It could have been meant as a paper weight or a coaster to protect furniture from the wet behinds of glasses and the like. I have some. Bothe are one sided :)
