Can someone kindly help in identifying differences between KM 79.1 79.2 79.3 79.4 79.5
I've tried searching but haven't been able to find details with clear images, the following link does explain in words but with unclear images -

have tried to figure it out from the coins that I have in my collection of almost similar grade (1983-1991)

hope I'm right, but kindly point out if someone notices an error
tried by elimination, there are some years which have only 1 variant listed, so started with that & tried to figure out the rest -
1983 Mumbai KM 79.1 (1 variant)
1988 Mumbai KM 79.2 (3 variants KM 79.1 79.2 & 79.3)
1989 Noida KM 79.2 (1 variant)
1989 Mumbai KM 79.3 (3 variants KM 79.1 79.3 79.4)
1991 Mumbai KM 79.5 (1 variant)

I don't have any coin of KM 79.4, but should be simple after understanding the above, it's supposed to have Normal Lion (79.1) and a "reeded edge"

apart from images below, what i noticed -
KM 79.2 the horse in the pedestal has the head up as compared to that of 79.1, where the Horse head seems to be bent towards the chest
KM 79.3 the horse seems to be same as 79.2 but the Chest hair of the Central Lion very clearly look to deeply cut as well as the chest looks flatter than that of either 79.1 or 79.2
KM 79.5 seems to have similar Lion Chest as of 79.3 nut the edge is reeded

I wrote something about this here...

I had not paid too much attention to the horse's head - but you are right there is a difference there.

I may try to make an image or two.

Thanks Mr Paul Baker
