Just received my 2023 definitive set. Best part of 3 months since ordering.

I "received" mine in December, in the sense that it arrived at my parents' house.

Where did you order from?  Mine arrived ages ago.  I very rarely do Royal Mint orders these days as the postage is generally extortionate but I did for this.

I ordered both the last QE2 and new Charles sets from the Royal Mint when the latter went on sale. My parents received a package about three weeks later, which I presumed was the whole order - I wasn't there to check, and I didn't get any delivery note or whatever saying otherwise. Then several weeks later another similarly sized package arrived. I presume that the first only contained the QE2 set and the Charles set took longer, but I can't be certain. It might be the other way round (though I can't see why). Or the RM has got its knickers in a twist and sent me the complete order twice. I'll find out in February.

Ordered from the RM. Must have been one hell of a lot of orders very early. It was about three/four days after the launch when I placed my order.

How long will it be before the Capercaillie bird is misidentified by a coin catalog?

In the early 2000's the Krause Standard Catalog of World Coins misidentified an Andorra coin.

Apparently there has been a massive response to the issue, most probably the people who have bought the set as a keepsake of the coronation

She confirmed her involvement in the design process in an Instagram post:

For the first time, a counterfeit coin of the new standard series of the UK has been found. It is a 2023-dated Salmon 50p coin with privy mark (so a copy of the BU or proof version). The piece was found in a fake NGC slab that also references the American Numismatic Association. It was made by a counterfeiting ring in China.
