Few days ago, Pobjoy Mint issued proof-like series of new circulation coins from Falkland Islands (5p, 10p, 20p, 50p and 1£, no 1p nor 2£). All coins have reverse like 2019-2020 issue but obverse with King Charles III.
This is the second circulation coins set with Charles after the IOM coins issued some weeks ago.

The mintage of proof-like sets was very low (595 sets, already sold out) but I guess soon three will be standard coins issued too.

Looks that after the decision to close Pobjoy Mint, there will be no new Falkland coins issued into circulation... Proof sets with mintage of 595 sets will be probably the only one version... after quick sold out of allocated items, there is still some avaliable sets in Pobjoy stock now.

Apart from the King's portrait, it's the same as the previous set.

And it lacks a 2 pound coin.

Quote from: <k> on January 16, 2024, 12:33:59 PMIt's notable that this new set does not include a penny or 2 pence coin.

The 1 and 2 pence coins were not included in the Pobjoy released set but they were in fact gazetted along with the other coins (2 pound coin still missing):

Here are the official 1 and 2 pence schedules.

The schedule and image actually show ONE PENCE.

What a grammatical howler!

Not exactly, for 10p, 20p and 50p - date was moved from revers to obverse (similar was planned for non issued 1p and 2p).
5p was already date on obverse (production by Tower Mint, not by Pobjoy). I see small differences here too: digit 5 was closer to albatros wing in 2019 than in 2023 version.
1 Pound looks similar (apart of new obverse).

Compare and contrast.

The new coins follow the example of the amended 5 pence of 2019.
