Many thanks Peter,

I have found the Biographical dictionary of medallists as free Download.
Vol. 2 - 6 ( E - Z)
http://www.archive.org/search.php?query=Biographical%20dictionary%20of%20medallists%20AND%20collection%3Aamericana
but it is no P.Hart to find there, only a belgium Medallist Laurent Joseph Hart is mentioned.

I have some very nice medals from P.Hart, and find it strange that he is nowhere described.

Superb link, Dietmar. Thanks! The books are now on my hard disk. You saved me a few hundred euros, as I may very well have fallen for the series if I'd seen it for sale anywhere.

Peter, my pleasure!
I could have bought Vol.2 for $ 38.00  ::)
Just a pity that does not go to download Vol.1, but you can read online.

From the bookbag, I can only get the entire text - without returns, making it pretty unreadabe - or separate pages.

Use this link, all 8 volumes are there. http://www.digitalbookindex.org/_search/refsearchbiodict.asp  They have stopped the downloads from these sites, hope it is just temporary.  I downloaded mine months ago, all 8 volumes, to my hard drive & burnt back up discs.  See a post of mine http://www.coinpeople.com/index.php?showtopic=25137&hl=Forrer mind you can read & search all the volumes online at least.

Just a little digging upping. I would dearly like to download volumes 1, 7 and 8 of Forrer for WoC purposes, which should be perfectly legitimate. Does anyone know a place on the net where they are available?
