What do you think they should be called? "Realms" is far preferable to "Dominions", as they used to be called. Remember that we are talking about a monarchy here - it's hardly an ultra-modern institution.

Territories like isle of man, Jersey etc. are classified as crown dependencies and Falkland islands, Pitcairn etc, are classified as british overseas territories, both are in full control of the UK government. As a pragmatic solution to aid better fiscal and monetary control, their currencies should be integrated with the UK pound, as their currencies are practically redundant.

Currently a significant number of them are being used as money laundering hot spots, hope their dubious status would change once fully integrated with the mainland.

as regards to realms which are the erstwhile territories or current commonwealth members, it would be better to relinquish the monarchial control over them as they are now practically independent and the former would help them build a national identity, which will help integrate their population

The UK government has devolved certain powers to them. It does not retain full control, though it could assert full control if it wished to. However, that would not currently be considered desirable by the UK or the territories or dependencies

Yes, tax havens and money laundering. It's a problem. Surely there must be other ways to stop it?

You mean Canada, Papua New Guinea, etc., and the little Caribbean islands? Yes, I agree that it's time to ditch the monarchy. Amazingly, still not all of them want to as yet. But it is a good idea to start the conversation now that there is a new monarch.
