To commemorate the coronation of HM King Charles III, Pobjoy Mint has today unveiled a commemorative 50 pence coin for the government of the Falkland Islands.

While I do not really pay much attention to his coronation and the abundance of coins that are issued on that occasion, I find this reverse design interesting: Some of the flowers "form" the shape of a crown. :like:  It may not have been necessary to have the text "King Charles III" on both sides, but apart from that, I like it.

By the way ... the rose, shamrock, thistle and daffodil I recognize, but what is that horizontal bar with the five small symbols?

Yes a very good observation
May be Boris Johnson's lost comb

always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....

It is the official coronation emblem by Sir Jony Ive:

It is more obvious from the coloured version that the bar is intended to represent the ermine bottom part of the crown.

Ah, got it, thanks for the info! So the designers merely copied the official emblem? In that case, my Like refers to the latter. :)

The head band of the crown and its jewels, I think.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
