The Shubh Mills aka Shubhlaxmi Mills Ltd, started out as the Nawab Of Cambay Mills Limited. Nawab Of Cambay Mills Limited was registersed on 09 November 1907. It appears that sometime in May 1943, the Nawab representing the State of Cambay sold for and on behalf of the State the "Cambay State Mills" (Nawab Of Cambay Mills Limited) to a private entity "Shree Vijaylaxmi Cotton Mills Ltd."

On March 19, 1948, the Nawab of Cambay signed an agreement of merger of the Cambay State with the Bombay Province in the Dominion of India. This agreement became effective on and from June 10, 1948.
In December 1949, Vijaylaxmi Cotton Mills sold its interest in the entire property of the mills to Shubhlaxmi Mills Ltd. which was owned by the Somani Group.
On December 14,1961, all the shares of Shubhlaxmi Mills Ltd. were purchased by the Sayaji Mills Ltd., Ahmedabad and thus the Shubhlaxmi Mills Ltd. became the wholly owned subsidiary of the Sayaji Mills Ltd.
After the separation of the management of the Sayaji Mills Ltd, Vadilal Lallubhai group picked up the entire shareholding of the Somani group in the Shubhlaxmi Mills. However, it appears that within a year they sold out this holding.
Further details on this mill or the Credit Society are not available at the moment and I will try to find and upload further details. However, the Mill was working till the 1970's / early 1980's. Currently the mill have been liquidated.

Yet another insight! A Co-operative Credit Society issuing a canteen token! I presume the organisation started out providing credit to staff and branched out to other activities, like the canteen, later, making the canteen a staff-owned operation.

Your research in the corporate history of Shubh Mill will undoubtedly help other researchers to figure out Indian economic and social history further. That alone would have made your posts useful, as this sort of information tends to evaporate quickly.
