Due to the ever increasing problem of Counterfeiting of Currency notes, the technology in Note Printing is witnessing changes everyday. We all have seen Polymer notes being issued by many countries.

The latest in Note Printing Technology is HYBRID Notes. As the name suggests, a hybrid note is made of Polymer and Paper. In this technology, a small strip (or Window) of Polymer is inserted in the paper, while making the notes. It needs very specialised machines and technology to print and make this note, making it virtually impossible to counterfeit.

The latest country to issue HYBRID notes is BERMUDA, which has issued hybrid notes in 2009.
