New commemorative coin issue 2022: Srimad Vijay Vallabh Suri 150th Year 2020

A commemorative coin was issued on Yugvir Jainacharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Suri on 26th October 2022 in New Delhi. The coin was made available in proof variety in a box format for a few weeks on the SPMCIL website, but the regular blister packaging have not been made available yet.

The face of the coin will show a portrait of Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Suri Ji in the center of the coin. The coin will be inscribed '150th Birth Anniversary of Yugvir Jainacharya Shrimad Vijay Vallabh Suri' in English and Hindi on the periphery of the coin. The years 1870 and 2020 will also be written on the left and the right side of the coin, respectively.

Even though the coin was issued in 2022; the Jain saint's 150th anniversary was completed in 2020; the coin was issued two years later than it should have! Same as Kavi Mudanna coin.

Regular UNC and proof coins are now available for purchase from the SPMCIL website. I haven't seen the offline booking form so far. Cost for the UNC coin is Rupees 3171 and proof coin is Rupees 3435.
