New commemorative coin issue 2022: Sri Aurobindo 150th birth anniversary

Prime Minister of India dedicated a 150 rupees commemorative coin to celebrate 150th birth anniversary year of Sri Aurobindo. The coin was issued on 13th December 2022 from New Delhi and Puducherry simultaneously and has not been made available for purchase through SPMCIL so far.

The coin shows a portrait of Sri Aurobindo. The coin will be inscribed with '150th Birth Anniversary of Sri Aurobindo' in English and Hindi on the periphery. The years 1872 and 1950 will be written on the left and right side of the coin, respectively. The numerals 2022 will also be written at the bottom of the coin face.
