There is a large series of mostly bi-metal fantasy coins, which in many cases show an unknown logo. I have not seen anyone mention this author, as Vitaly Bakhtinov or other science fiction writers do. Has anyone seen this kind of work before? Who knows who their author is? It is possible that his name is Martin and he is from Poland, but this is not certain..

Here's an example:

Interesting Alaskan token, Alex, but I'm not familiar with it at all. I'll look into it a bit and see if I can come up with anything.

I have no idea who issued this fantasy as Adak is very remote and generally only lightly inhabited. The 2010 census reported a population of only 326 (Adak City) and by 2020 that number had dropped to 171.

After WW2 Adak was developed as a naval air station that at it's peak housed nearly 6,000 personnel and their families. By 1994 they had drastically downsized. The base closed in 1997.

At first I thought there might be some connection between the token and the base, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Not listed in Numista that I could see.
Sorry, I can't help you with this one.

Bruce, I'm glad you liked the token, but unfortunately it's a fantasy.
Attu Island is also there, the author is the same:

Yes, I know it's a fantasy but I was curious as to who made it and for what purpose. No information at all.

Another interesting question is that if Adak Island and Attu Island were military bases, then this is some reason to make a fantastic coin. But this author has made coins for two other islands of this group, and it is not clear what was guided by the choice of the island and were there any events to make a fantastic coin?  8)

I just got curious..: Chuginadak island & Davidof Island

All or nearly all of these islands are volcanic in nature and known collectively as the Rat Islands in the Aleutian chain.

Most of them were connected to the US military either during the war or after. Amchitka was used for nuclear testing in the late 1960s and Dutch Harbor was crucial to the war effort during the Alaskan campaign. Dutch Harbor today has an important connection to the Alaska fishing industry in the Bering Sea.

Not sure about tokens for most of them but a copy of Bernice's book would be most interesting.

The Aleutian islands, known before 1867 as the Catherine Archipelago, include six groups (east to west)

Fox Islands (the main islands are Unimak, Akutan, Unalaska and Umnak)
Islands of Four Mountains (the main islands are Yunaska and Chuginadak)
Andreanof Islands (the main islands are Adak, Atka, Amlia, Seguam, Kanaga and Tanaga)
Rat Islands (the main islands are Kiska and Amchitka)
Near Islands (the main islands are Attu Island, Agattu Island and the Semichi Islands - Alaid, Nizki and Shemya)
Commander Islands (the main islands are Bering and Medny)

It is interesting that for many of these islands there are numismatic tokens, some of which are in the catalogs, and I foresaw such studies on purpose.

As for the author of these fantastic tokens, he made tokens for five groups of islands (except for the Russian Commander Islands) and indicated them on the inscription in the coat of arms, here they are: (numismatic geography)

I found some source showing some of these coins.

The seller on ebay also had a signature "martin.rare.coins"
http://www.coins.sklepna5.pl - It looks like this site hasn't been updated in over 5 years. This is all that I have been able to find out about these fantastic coins, of which I have counted more than a hundred varieties. Does anyone know more about this?

I noticed that there is a kind of competition between these two fantasy producers - between Vitaly Bakhtinov (whom I have abbreviated as Б.В.) and the said Martin (indicated as M.R.С.). I began to compare some of their releases of fantastic coins about the same topics. I don't know, maybe we need to arrange a vote and a sympathy prize? For example, here they are both making a fantasy about one of the Seychelles - the island of Aldabra:

Let's continue this interesting study and comparison. Here are fantasies on the theme of the North Solomon Islands - Bougainville Island:

I continue to explore this curious numismatic battle. Here are Devil's Island (Fr.Guiana) fantasies :

Here are the fantasies of two authors on the topic of Diego Garcia Island (Chagos Archipelago):
