This Danish 1771 1 Skilling is boldly countermarked with: CFIFFIN (N retrograde and made with separate punches). Countermark is a bit hard to read from the photo but it really is CFIFFIN. It looks like being made with a single punch. Not a word I think but perhaps a name C.Fiffin?

The counterstamp is unusual and not listed in any reference that I have. Dr. Brunk's catalog has a decent selection of Danish marks listed but nothing close to this. It's a possibility that it's not Danish at all.

The lettering is pushed hard left near the rim which leaves the possibility that some letters are missing but only if it comes from a prepared punch. Although evenly applied, I think it was done with individual punches. The retrograde N suggests such.

If this coin is yours, Henk, I'd consider cleaning it with a solvent to remove the debris in the letters and the surface dirt. There are good solvents out there that won't harm the coin's surfaces or color. it's rare that I suggest a cleaning but on occasion it's necessary to make the stamp clearer.
