Hi,
I have a question for Amit ji. Is 991AH known in Ahmedabad mint. The reason I ask is that I know Amit ji knows that 991AH is a very important year for Mughals in Gujarat. Also is this coin pre-rebellion then?

An excellent question.

Muzzaffar Shah III ruled for a short period of a few months, of which a very small part was in AH 992. So at the most he had taken control of Ahmedabad in the later part of AH 991.This would mean that the coins were struck in the beginning of the year.

This was the last coin that I picked up in this set in my collection......... so, yes, it is a date much more scarce as compared to the other dates since minting would have been for a substantially shorter period.

The rule of Muzaffar iii lasted from July 1583 to January 1584. So all coins on 991AH in name of Akbar was minted in the first 7 months of 1583
