When I was young, this coin was a staple in rummage trays and - if not corroded by other coins - usually in great condition. In that sense also, it is witness to the period of inflation that hit Portugal during the interbellum period. ARtistically also, these coins cannot match the elegance of simplicity of the first post-1910 series. Yours is quite nice, with full original metal colour, a sign the coins were not appreciated ad used, much like the US and eurocents today.
