I have an engraved copper planchet or coin (no traces of coin visible) the size of a half penny 29 mm and 7.45 g. One side shows the lower part of a man, dressed in trousers and with leg-irons. It is engraved with a name: IOHN IOHNSON. The other side is engraved with two crossed pistols, a sword, a key and a hook and some other symbols I cannot make sense of.

One possibility is that it depicts Guy Fawkes who, when apprehended gave his name as John Johnson. Other ideas and information will be appreciated.johnson.jpg

It could be a prisoner's token but they were usually sent to a girlfriend or wife and would include terms of endearment. The weapons and other things don't really fit in that case.

I think Guy Fawkes is a better guess but I'm not sure that's the answer either. I can't make out some of the objects either.

A key, two revolvers, a sword and a tankard. I can't identify the thing on the right, the thing at the bottom or the small things at the top ;D

The thing on the right looks like a fish hook and on the bottom a serpent or snake. The top image is obviously a McDonald's Happy Meal. ;D

The thing on the right may be a lock pick and the third object from the left at the top may be a stirrup. The whole reminds me of a highwayman's tools of the trade.

On the top row the right item is obviously the sword knot, but could the three items to the left be a pair of handcuffs: two loops joined by the shallow triangular shackle?

There is a possible fit here: John Blade, alias John Johnston, highwayman and gambler.
