New commemorative coin issue 2022: 175 Years of IIT Roorkee

Commemorative coin of Rupees 175 denomination is likely to be issued on 175 years of IIT Roorkee in 2022-23. The coin will show the James Thomason building along with the text '175 years', 'Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee' and 1847-2022 will be inscribed on the coin.

A postal stamp was also issued on this institution by India Post in 1997.

Bookings are already out on the mint page between Rs 3065 to Rs 4015, regular folder packing & wooden packing options. The dealers already have them ready in stock & selling like hot cakes! Not sure from where they picked up readily available pieces!

There is a difference in the price, around ₹250 added to online booking, maybe shipping charges.
