I noticed that the "tooth" around the edge differs significant on the reverse..
On one coin they are much smaller..
Booth have the some edge "tooth" on the obverse..
Anyway i keep both coins in my collection.. :)

That is interesting.

On this page about India 50 Paise KM-58.1, KM-58.2 and KM-58.3 ...

https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces6559.html

In the "comments" section on that page you can see images of my pair of India 50 Paise KM-58.1 1967(B) coins. It is something quite similar to the pair of coins you show above.

Thanks to Ole Sjoelund for the presentation for my pieces.

The varieties I have are mentioned in the SCWC, but it seems they do not mention what you have.

Thanks Mr Paul Baker

Hi,

I have used your images to make the following graphic, which might surprise you!

Can I use to make a CR (Change Request) for the article in numista?

@Ole: as a member of WoC, under the partnership WoC has with Zeno, you don't have to ask WoC or Zeno members any more. However, if the owner of the pictures is a member of Numista only you don't have to ask any more only if the owner has made a license choice in his profile. Otherwise, the situation is unchanged.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I'm being civic, since the OP found the variant, it's normal to ask him, if I can use it (just my opinion).

These are 25 Paise KM-49.1, not 25 Paise KM-49.6.

The piece shown above with longer reverse border teeth has a taller "1" in the date.

The piece shown above with shorter reverse border teeth has a shorter "1" in the date.

Compare each digit "1" to the adjacent digit "9" in the date.

My 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(B) has the longer reverse border teeth and the taller "1" in the date.

The piece that seems to be a 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(B) on Ucoin seems to have the shorter reverse border teeth and the shorter "1" in the date.

I have previously come across (not too long ago) what would seem to be the same variety pair for 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(H). There was a variety pair image somewhere.

My 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(H) has the longer reverse border teeth on the reverse and the taller "1" in the date.

Ucoin is quite clear with two examples of 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(H) with the shorter reverse border teeth and the shorter "1" in the date and then one example of 25 Paise KM-49.1 1976(H) with the longer reverse border teeth and the taller "1" in the date.

With ALL pieces mentioned, the obverses always seem to have the longer type of border teeth. Sometimes it is perhaps not simple to tell between longer and shorter reverse border teeth.

Any comments?

Thanks Mr Paul Baker

You're right, hence a modified graphic
