Snake Island has become one of the symbols of the war of independent Ukraine from fascist Russia. Today I saw this tokens for sale:

Thank you! We have an average of 5-7 times a day sounding a siren and an air raid warning, this has been going on for 48 days already. Approximately on average, the echo of 2 explosions per day is heard somewhere from afar. Rashism must be destroyed as well as fascism.

You have my sympathy. I can't imagine having to live my life like that.

Hi Alex

Glad to know you are fine. I'm so sorry & deeply saddened with the current war in your beloved country, may this war ends soon. Yesterday a single piece of this latest stamp was issued by Ukrposhta regarding the Snake Island incident. I think this is a legendary stamp after the warship got hit & sunk today by the anti ship missiles.

Offtopic: The online shop of Ukrposhta is down & doesnt open up at all & the stamp has a limited run of 500,000 issues. Is there any way I can get a stamp sent to India about this warship? Maybe a simple letter with the stamp on it?

If and only if its safe to go out in your city to the post office (Zaporozhye I guess).

Thanks & take care.

Hi idiotghost

I've never collected stamps so I'm off topic. As far as I know now from publications, it was possible to buy these stamps in three pieces; and it seems that they are all already sold out and are now being resold at other prices by resellers. I will not be able to help in acquiring them because I have never dealt with stamps, but I hope that everyone who wants to, one way or another, will figure out how to buy them in different ways.  ;)

One more thing I want to add - the topic of tokens for the Snake Island is getting another continuation, I'm following it:

This is the fourth kind of a commemorative token about the events on Snake Island in Ukraine. From the previous variety with a similar obverse, it is distinguished by an inscription in another language, while a completely different reverse:

The top of the lighthouse seems to have changed shape on this series. Collectors of obscene gesures have another chance. :D

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

I am somewhat mystified by what language that is... At first I thought Belarusian, but it's not quite right.

And on all of these, you have to wonder what purpose the "asterisk of modesty" serves, given the large finger and the fact that it's blindingly obvious to anyone what that word is.

Yes, this is still unclear to me. Can be compared:

It looks/sounds like Russian spelled phonetically using the Ukrainian alphabet.
