After a gap of two years and after being postponed once, the COINEX - 2022 AHMEDABAD was finally held on 4th, 5th & 6th March 2022.
It was indeed an excellent feeling - both to organize the fair (as one of the management committee members) and also to display my collection. Interaction with other numismatists and dealers was an added advantage.
There was a display of numismatic items spread over 40 frames and included a fantastic display of Ancient India coins, Akbar Coppers, my own collection of the Rupees of Ahmedabad in the name of the Mughal Emperors covering the issues of Ahmedabad from the times of Akbar till the closure of the mint during the British India times. Then were displays of IPS coins of Chhota Udepur and unattributed coins of Gwalior mint as well as the coins of Joghpur state. This was followed by the display of the High value Commemorative coins of Republic India, Circulating Commemorative coins of RI and Notes. The tail was brought on by a display of tokens and a frame dedicated to Exonumia - coins, medal & stamps issue din the name of the Bharat Ratna awardees of India.

For those interested, here is a link to a video of my display - superbly produced by Dr. Dilip Rajgor. Unfortunately, due to needs of the channel, the explanation is in Hindi with a fair degree of English thrown in.
