I have an interesting unidentified Islamic Ae coin with possibly a heart design in the obverse?   It measures 23.32mm and weighs 4.83g.  Could it be a coin of the Indian Princely States? Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

It looks like an "X" and an "8" on the first side - usually found on Spanish 8 Maravedis from the 1600's.  It might not be though :)

I have not seen a Maravedis with a heart.  There are coins of the East Indian Company with hearts though

they end up with odd shapes on them once they have been overstruck so many times, anyhow this is the coin I thought it looked similar to.

Dear Pogh_poor, considering the type of cross shape mintmark on the left photo of your coin, I found the nearest looking cross in this coin:
Mughal, Akbar, Copper Dam, Dar al-Khilafah Shahgarh urf Qannauj Mint (AH 963-1014/1556-1605 AD)
With typical "cross" mintmark.
I hope that helps

Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".
