Gibraltar, 50 pence, 1990.



This was the first coin of Gibraltar that featured dolphins.

Here we see five dolphins swimming in a circle.

The design is reminiscent of the three swirling dolphins seen on the unofficial flag of Anguilla and on its brief independence coinage of the late 1960s.
