To continue with the tradition of circulating commemoratives, National Bank of Angola will issue on 4 April 2022 a 200 kwanzas piece with the following specifications: mono-metallic, diameter 28,5 mm, weight 10,5 g.

It is the first time that Angola issues a 200 kwanzas coin into circulation. The coins will circulate alongside the 200 kwanzas banknote. The coin, of which 25 million pieces were made, was minted by Goznak in Russia, at a cost of 1.6 million USD. It will be released on April 4.
