Any large cent variety experts checking this board out?

I took a chance on this recent purchase, thinking it might be an 1858. Under magnification, I think it's a blobby 9 that's so difficult to read.

It's a medal alignment. I've snapped what I think are the key areas. I'd appreciate opinions on whether it's identifiable by variety. I can post further pics upon request.

Thanks for all opinions!
Why? I coax stories out of unidentified coins.

I am guessing a 9  looks like a ghost, but I can not be sure...

Undoubtedly a 9. It is clearest on the first picture. Consider that both 8s in the date should look the same. There is no place for the lower loop of the 8, remnants of the tail of the 9 are visible and the visible loop is larger that the upper as well as the lower loop of the second digit of the date. Sorry, I have no idea what varieties are out there.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Always Faithful

Beleif can move mountains, I just think that the quality of the coin is not allowing any conclusions.....
