New commemorative coin 2021: Kavi Muddana

A new commemorative coin in Rs 150 denomination is set to be issued to celebrate 150th birth anniversary year of Kavi Muddana (1870-2020). It's being issued a couple of year behind schedule, but Kuka movement, Radhakrishnan, Nabakalebara and the pending Satguru Ram Singh coins have already set the precedence.

Commemorative coin on Kavi Muddana is now available for purchase on spmcil.com. Prices for the UNC and proof coin are slightly high, possibly because the mints may have purchased silver when prices were high earlier this year. The UNC coin is being sold for Rupees 3941 and proof version for Rupees 4263.
