British Antarctic Territory: Platinum Jubilee 50p 2022

To commemorate the 70 years of reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Pobjoy Mint is going to issue a commemorative 50 pence coin on behalf of the British Antarctic Territory. The piece will depict the floral badges of the United Kingdom.

A better image of the design can be seen below. A maximum of 2,700 pieces will be issued in copper-nickel diamond finish and 170 pieces in sterling silver proof. The coins will depict a rose, daffodil, thistle and shamrocks around the Royal Cypher, referring to the 4 countries of the UK. The official Platinum Jubilee emblem is depicted at the top.
