According to Numista, it was located in Maison Alfort ; address was 17 rue des Deux Moulins (Alfort district)
(new name of this street :  rue du Maréchal Juin)

I went to check the WOT, but I'm not sure this token matches the description there.

The material is not the same, the description and the reverse do not match.

Is it really like that, or could it be another variant?

Maisons-Alfort is a small town in the south of Paris .  Alfort was a district of Maisons-Alfort ; its name was changed in Alfortville in 1885.
The name “ Bal des sept arbres “ ( seven trees ballroom ) can be found on 1925 December 30th newspaper “ L’Oeuvre “ and located Rue des deux moulins .
Jean was probably the name of the owner
