Nauru? Banaba? British? P(hosphate) C(ompany)
« on: November 13, 2021, 02:28:30 PM »

There is a token at the numisbids auction with a description that is not very clear to me:

Quote
Nauru P(acific) P(hosphate) C(ompany) CC 396 in bronze (Chinese Coolie)

https://www.numisbids.com/n.php?p=lot&sid=4877&lot=3468

The first letter B can mean either "British" or "Banaba" (island), which was developed together with the island of Nauru. Who can explain where this token comes from?

ps.
