This coin is not mine and I only have a photograph of the obverse.

British India Victoria Rupee with Arabic counterstamp

I read the Victoria Rupee Arabic counterstamp as "Abu Dhabi".

Am I correct?

I believe most of these rupees counterstamped for Gulf states are modern fantasies.

Similar counterstamps were once listed by Mitchiner, but more recent research has shown that they are modern fantasies made to order locally.

Likely. Google translate says Abu Dhabi is أبو ظبي. Close enough, I think.
