Hi Guys

So wondering if anyone has any idea about this little brass token
I am assuming it is a machine token of some kind.

It weighs 5.2g is 21.2mm in diameter and 1.8mm thick. It has a dotted inner circle on each side with a small triangle in the bottom field of one.
See image below.

Thanks all in advance.

It is a bit like this...

...but perhaps a bit older.

I would class it as French unless a use in the UK had been clearly reported.

Thanks Mr Paul Baker

The triangle looks like the maker's mark of Thévenon, so I would agree that it is likely to be French. (Although Thévenon did occasionally make tokens for customers outside France: I'm pretty sure I have a Swedish one but can't remember the details to look it up.)

Thanks Guys

Missed your replies on this. Very much appreciated. Will look into it further.

Cheers

Several other makers, as well as Thévenon, (T&Cie in triangle) did use the triangle as part of their mintmark.

Francis Cartaux used two different marks with the triangle
