I think it is a Mamluk fractional dirhem, but I am not sure who this one was issued by. I only have two, issued by al-Zahir Sayf el-Din Barquq, but yours doesn't seem to match either of these: I will keep looking. Most seem to be from Aleppo.

The Ayyubids also issued these but the script on yours looks more 'Mamluk' in style to me.

I tend to lean that way too. Here are a couple of Mamluk fractional dirhems that are similar to your coin in weight, dimensions, and general appearance, but not a match for the writing.

I couldn't find anything similar from Malwa, which issued many square and rectangular coins.

Thank you both very much for your help, I think that is the way. :like:

Dear Palomares, can you please provide a clearer left photo. The inscription at the bottom looks like " 782 ٧٨٢ ", which could be a date or something else.

Coin collecting has a curious name. It is also called the "Hobby of Kings".

Aws22, sorry for the delay.

Thank you Palomares, it is not the date.
