Obverse: Sir Seretse Kama (1921–1980).

He was President of Botswana from 1966 until 1980.

Seretse Khama and Barbara Castle.


Stuart Devlin was shown these photos of Seretse Khama for reference purposes.

In the second photo, you see him meeting Barbara Castle and Prime Minister Harold Wilson and his wife Mary Wilson.

Barbara Castle was an English member of parliament who was active in the fight against apartheid.
