William & Mary commemorative Jeton/token

Hi All

I got this jeton quite some time ago. It came with a bulk load of other items and I initially dissmissed it as an early 1900 counter.
However, I do believe it is contemporary and commemorates the joint reign of William & Mary in 1689. It has the initials of L.G.L,
which I believe stand for Lazarus Gottlieb Lauffer who was a medalsit active in Nuremberg from 1660 -1709. He took over from his father.
I believe I have found reference to this token in "Medallic illustrations of the history of Great Britain and Ireland to the death of George II",
No. 56 page 679. (I only have the 1885 PDF version). 

Would love any extra information and if anyone would have a basic idea of its approx value
so I can add it to my database.

From memory: one of a long series of medals based on historic large silver coins. The thin, copper excecution makes them unfit as a luxury article, so my best guess is that they were used for educational purposes. I am thinking of rich spoiled brats trying to make the life of their private tutors as nasty, brutal and short as possible.

The series came about in the period right after Napoléon, IIRC, where there was no longer demand for counters and the Nürnberg toy makers were looking for a different application of their skills in the face of competition from the UK, fed by steam engines. In the end, the British makers settled on game counters and fillers for coin holders, while the Germans captured the dolls house (toy) money and educational market.
