It is certainly in the style of an Arcot half paisa, and the weight and diameter match. I agree with seeing a 42. I didn't find a close match in either Krause or Zeno, but there were some listed with a date of AH 1142, for example KM #A1.

Unlikely, Peter. The stem of the '4' is probably the extension of the letter 'Be'.
