Mint announces new reverse design for 2021 quarter

The US Mint announced a new reverse design for the Washington quarter to be released on April 5, 2021. It's a new rendition of George Washington and the American army crossing the Delaware River on December 25, 1776 to engage the British and Hessian troops wintering in Trenton during the American Revolution.

The subject had previously been used on the New Jersey State quarter issued years earlier. Though the obverse uses the same portrait of Washington, the reverse has been modified dramatically. See more here.
