Car wash token from Finland

Tammermatic was founded in Tampere, Finland, in 1966. It sells car cleaning equipment, so in all likelihood, this is a Finnish car wash token, though it may have been used in other countries.

The "Tammer" part of the name comes from the Swedish name for Tampere, Tammerfors.

Tammermatic machines were in use in England alone. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Electrolux. Marketed in UK by Technorizon International Ltd, 54 Angel Hill, Sutton, Surrey. Note TiL logo.

I trust you are right that Technorizon International Ltd (TIL) was Tammermatic's sole agent in England. On its web site, the company claims to be global. It has production facilities in the US (InterClean Equipment of Ann Arbor, Mich.) and an office in Sweden (AB Tammermatic).

Tammermatic was bought by AB Electrolux OY, the Finnish branch of Electrolux in 1970. However, today, 80% of the shares are owned by Sentica Growth Fund II KY, a principal portfolio of a Finnish buyout specialist, meaning that they are no longer with Electrolux.
