Newspapers.com free until 16 February

Newspapers.com offers free access to all newspapers on the website until 16 February, 8 am CET. Normally these are only available if you have an expensive subscription. The website has 635 million pages of newspapers of the US, Canada, UK, Australia, Ireland and Panama. The information may be useful to for example research tokens, countermarks etc.

Subscription is necessary. For this they only need an email address and a password. The email address does not have to be verified, so you can use a fake one to avoid possible spam.

Thanks for the heads-up. Newspaper archives are invaluable when doing research and were always an important part of my investigations. I subscribed to quite a few sites at one time, but the cost became prohibitive so dropped most of them. This was one of them. Maybe I'll give it a try again...at least while it's free
